The Vullierens Iris Garden at the Château de Vullierens above Morges is a true festival of colour in spring, with views over the vineyards towards Lake Geneva and the Alps. The garden is particularly known for its modern iris collection with more than 400 varieties – some of which even bloom for a second time in autumn.

The peak flowering period is usually from mid-May to mid-June, when an impressive mosaic of flowers spreads across several hectares, making it perfect for photography. In addition to the irises, it is also worth taking a tour of the other gardens and the park – the château describes it as a major cultural experience featuring gardens, sculptures and a winery.

Good to know: The estate is open seasonally (e.g. 4 April to 25 October 2026 – with different opening hours depending on the day of the week/period). If you like, you can also purchase iris rhizomes on site or in the shop – a lovely souvenir of your visit.
