From Vergeletto in the Zott area, not far from the Arena nature reserve, a modern 4-person cable car takes you to Alpe Salei (1783 m) in just 7 minutes.

From here, besides the inviting mountain hut, you can easily reach a crystal-clear mountain lake (just 20 minutes on foot), some of the surrounding peaks with breathtaking panoramic views (such as Pilone between the Onsernone Valley and Vergeletto Valley), as well as the hills and villages of Comologno and Spruga (around 1.5 hours on foot).

The alpine path branching off from Alpe Salei also takes you via Alpe Arena, with its alpine huts, to Alpe Porcareccio. Elevation: 1783 m
