Sass Malt (Dagro near Malvaglia) is a cosy Ristoro right next to the top station of the Malvaglia–Dagro cable car at 1,400 m above sea level. The journey itself is an experience: the cable car operates year-round and takes you up to Dagro’s sunny terrace in around 8 minutes.

At the top, an impressive panorama over the Valle di Blenio and the surrounding mountains awaits – perfect for a break with a view. The restaurant was built in 1996 and later renovated; inside, there are around 40 seats, plus another 30 seats or so on the terrace. If you wish, you can even stay overnight here (10 beds in total).

Sass Malt is also an excellent starting point for hikes and bike tours, as the area around Dagro has a dense network of trails and beautiful routes leading back down into the valley.
