Landshut Castle, the last moated castle in the canton of Bern, stands atop a sandstone hill surrounded by a large pond and an idyllic park with numerous streams, overlooking the otherwise flat landscape of the Lower Emmental. It houses the Landshut Castle Museum and the Swiss Museum of Wildlife and Hunting, as well as the Swiss Hunting Library. Changing special exhibitions every year, a varied programme of events, the café in the castle courtyard and the extensive English landscape park make Landshut Castle an ideal destination for visitors of all ages.
