Lake Schwarzsee in the canton of Fribourg is nestled in an impressive pre-Alpine setting and appears mysteriously dark depending on the light – a landscape that perfectly matches the local legends.

A classic is the lakeside circuit: very easy, around 4 km long and comfortably manageable in about 1:15 h.
