The Swiss Vapeur Parc in Le Bouveret on Lake Geneva is a family highlight: You ride small trains through a lovingly designed miniature Switzerland with buildings, bridges and landscapes in miniature.
Many locomotives are real steam engines (alongside electric ones), making the experience particularly authentic – complete with hissing and steam.
Trains run on two track gauges (5 inches and 7¼ inches) across the site, allowing different vehicles to be used.
During the season, the park is typically open daily from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm – it remains closed in winter (it is best to quickly check the current season start online).
Practical for your visit: Children under 3 enter free of charge.
Dogs are allowed in the park on a leash, but not on the trains – useful to know when planning your visit.
